Oh this is the night...it's a beautiful night...And we call it bella notte...

After a quick trip home to change and doll myself up, I headed out for a night in Bawtry with my best friend Kirsty. I was so excited to see her and have a catch up and a meal with a drink or two!

We went to Ziniz for dinner and our meals were yummy! I had spinach and ricotta tortellini. And after Kirsty's revelation that she was now a Vegetarian, she decided to have the mushroom risotto. The portion sizes were very generous and we were extremely pleased we had declined on the Starters and then couldn't even manage a pudding! My pasta was delicious and the tomato sauce drizzled over it was sweet and full of flavour and didn't taste watery. Because it was quite rich, I feared I wouldn't manage to eat it all but fortunately I managed to find room! Kirsty unfortunately failed to clear her plate but considering how much risotto she was served, I was not surprised!

The service was excellent, in fact the servers were too attentive as they came to try and take our order a good few times before we had managed to decide. Like most women who dine together we spent far too much time chatting and too little time reading the menu! Another criticism that we had was that we were rushed off our table just before 9pm as a further booking was made for 9pm. This meant that our tea we had recently ordered had to be downed in haste as there wasn't even space in the bar to sit and finish it!

After leaving Ziniz we headed to the Crown Hotel down the road and hunted for a tiny nook to continue chatting in! After hunting fruitlessly for about 20 minutes we found a quiet booth and settled down for the evening; chatting away by candle light with a couple of drinks. We were not alone as other groups of female friends surrounding us, did the same!

We realised after a while that like Cinderella, we were fast approaching the end of the night and our taxi home would soon arrive! There was just enough time for a mini-selfie session in the toilets before heading home!

I had a really lovely evening! And was provided with the perfect opportunity for wearing my New Navy Zara Dress and Gorgeous Gold Reiss Heels!
