I'm Back & Better Than Ever! (Sort Of)

I have unfortunately had to take a bit of time off from my blog for a number of reasons...workload, stress, illness, down days and business.

Yesterday, I had a particularly down day and didn't feel great...in fact my tutor said I looked awful! But I battled through. I am a determined fighter and try not to let things get the better of me. So, after carrying on, heading to Uni, doing my grocery shop, watching my housemate in a hockey match and going to Brownies, I genuinely felt better as I ploughed through. The Brownies are the best tonic and plastering a smile on your face and losing yourself in the moment makes you forget your troubles, and get happy!

One of my problems has been,  that I have been suffering from terrible IBS symptoms. My stomach has been causing terrible problems every time I eat and even when I don't because it contains so much it doesn't like. There is no particular reason that it should be this way, as I have made no change in my diet or life. But for some reason, after a couple of months of little trouble, it is significantly worse. In order to combat my IBS, I have decided to go on the Fodmap diet as a sort of detox to rectify my stomach. I tried this diet over the summer and had positive results, so I am keeping my fingers crossed this time. I am hoping to blog about my progress on the diet and give some brilliant low Fodmap recipe ideas as the Fodmap diet is a way of life rather than just a diet and it certainly takes some adjusting to!

So baby, I am back! Back to Blogging, back to being determined and not letting things get the better of me! And hopefully Ill be back to eating normally soon!
