We are Best Friends, Always remember that. If you fall, I will pick you up...when I finish laughing...

So here is the first of my 'Throwback Thursday' posts! The way things have been this past week I have been super busy and today I have had chance to reflect on last weekend. Last weekend featured my Best Friend & Housemate, Hannah's Birthday. Han had a 4 day long birthday really...beginning on Friday with the arrival of some guests, progressing to Saturday with a Big Birthday Bash, moving to Sunday with a big Carvery (and we didn't get to bed until 4am!) Finally, her actual Birthday was on the Monday!

Hans Birthday Bash was a sort of surprise party! However her Boyfriend & party planner extraordinaire, Ashley decided to confess about the plans and then inadvertently told her further details! Not that this affected the enjoyment of the party! But seriously, you can't host a complete surprise birthday party for a girl?!? I mean how would can a girl decide what to wear last minute or you may be wearing the wrong thing!

Unfortunately Saturday evening arrived in a downpour of heavy rain! But the terrible weather didn't stop the party. We arrived at the venue just in time to experience the final few moments of the Rugby match. Its a shame England lost, but that didn't dampen our spirits as the first bottle of wine was poured and the guests began arriving. As the evening progressed a delicious buffet of food was brought in, with; mini burgers, hot dogs, stuffed jalapenos, garlic mushrooms on ciabatta, pizza and chips. Then Hannah's Birthday cake which her Mum had slaved over for 2 days was brought in! The cake was an amazing masterpiece, featuring multiple icing model Hannah's participating in all the adventurous activities that Hannah enjoys doing. There was a body-boarding Hannah, a climbing Hannah, a hiking Hannah etc. As the clock struck 11pm, the last of the older guests and family members departed and that's when the real party started.

After a rather heavy hail storm, we all descended into taxi's and headed into Leed's City Centre.

We had a few drinks and a good old Dance, at the new Propaganda Attic; where a bottle of champagne awaited our arrival.

When Hannah's birthday arrived on Monday, it was almost back to normality as University stuff began again and this limited the Birthday Activities, although we did have Han's favourite dinner of Lasagne. However Han had a lovely morning filled with cups of tea, pain au chocolat's and opening lots of pressies! I bought Hannah a Typography print from 'Not On The High Street' detailing her date of birth and favourite things and I decoupaged a letter H using photographs taken throughout our time at University. I also bought Han a bottle of Topshop glittery nail varnish, a hand warmer (for long walks and when our house is freezing) and a wine glass covered in glitter and decorated with a 21.

I really hope that Hannah had a lovely 21st Birthday Celebration (I'm sure she did) and has fond memories of last weekend. After all - you are only 21 once! Love You Lots Han!
